Successfully Funded: The Broken Contract Miniature Set

Broken Contract demo at AdeptiCon Two days ago the Broken Contract Miniature Set was successfully funded on Kickstarter . This was a huge step forward toward making this passion project a reality. Here are some painted examples of some of the models in the set: Adesi Haddonis - The Hidden Face Nells Turnbull - The Sneak Trest - The Gen-Mod Brute Of course, the Kickstarter is still running and there is so much more we'd like to do. The next Stretch Goal is at $3500, and that will Unlock a pack of 2 free Surveillance Drones for everyone who backs the project at FerrumSky Administrator and above. Geng Gendall and I have fleshed out the overall look of several other kinds of drones and I am really looking forward to adding them to the game. Thanks to everyone who has supported thus far, and there is still 2 weeks to get in on the action! -Nick

Broken Contract Kickstarter

Broken Contract Today I finally got away from the demo table for a few minutes to put the finishing touches on our new Kickstarter. I'm trying to raise money to release our introductory models and attract playtesters to really put the rules through the ringer while simultaneously building a community who are passionate and invested in the game, because they helped shape the final product. To that end, please check out our the Broken Contract Miniature Set Kickstarter , download the PDF rules, and tell us what you think! Thanks for following the blog and supporting this project! -Nick

Preparing for AdeptiCon

Look for this banner at AdeptiCon! I missed my Wednesday blog post because I was sick all week. I may not have been able to muster the strength to work on scenery, but a lot of stuff has been happening behind the scenes. One of the biggest things to transpire recently is the addition of freelance artist, Filip Dudek , onto the project. If you are familiar with the post-apocalyptic RPG, Across the Dead Earth , you'll already know his work. We've been looking for someone to do atmospheric pieces for the rule book and I saw that he might be looking for work so I got in touch. He dove straight in and started producing fantastic work that really captures the feel of the setting and we couldn't be happier to have him on board. The above piece of art is the proof Sam Alcarez sent over adding his latest logo design. This will be our 3'x5' banner marking our territory at AdeptiCon . Here's a better view of the art itself: Filip's work is stunning and h

Making Mine Scenery Part XII

Come with Officer Hickley and I my friends, and I will give you a tour of "where we are at" with the mine board I've been working on. Officer Hickley was the very first commissioned piece of concept art I received from John "Geng" Gendall , and one year later he is the very first full painted Broken Contract miniature. He's not my best work but its a proud moment none the less. Here we have a "surveillance camera" angle shot of him in the freight elevator. Seeing him within the entry to the freight elevator also might give you all a better sense of the scale. We'll get back to him in a little bit. This is a shot of the elevator shaft. As I saw it there were two ways to do the shaft: 1) As the absolute bottom with a rock floor covered in debris and staining or 2) just paint it black so that it could convey an upper level of the mines so we can have one of those moments where a character could be pushed over the edge and into the
